Digital Procurement | Complex IT Contracts | Supplier Negotiations | Framework Implementation
Location: Worthing (1-2 days p/w on site)
Day Rate: £550 p/d (Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Hit the ground running. Take ownership. Deliver commercial impact.
We are seeking an experienced Interim IT Commercial Manager to take immediate ownership of a high-profile portfolio of Digital and Technology contracts, supplier negotiations and strategic commercial activity.
This is a hands-on, delivery-focused assignment requiring an accomplished IT commercial specialist who can navigate complex technology contracts, challenge suppliers, influence senior stakeholders and drive commercial outcomes from day one.
With a major new Digital Framework scheduled to launch in November 2026, you'll also play a pivotal role in establishing the commercial processes, controls and governance needed to ensure its successful implementation.
The Opportunity
Operating at the heart of a busy Digital function, you'll take ownership of business-critical commercial activity, ensuring continuity, managing contractual risk and maximising value from strategic technology suppliers.
Your priorities will include:
- Complex IT Commercial Management: Lead high-value, high-risk Digital contracts, renewals, extensions and supplier negotiations across software, technology and managed services.
- Contract Negotiation & Risk: Review and negotiate complex commercial terms, including pricing, Statements of Work, SLAs, liabilities, service credits and transition arrangements.
- Commercial Challenge: Act as a trusted commercial adviser to senior stakeholders, balancing cost, risk, value for money and operational delivery.
- Supplier & Spend Management: Oversee strategic supplier relationships, commercial performance, expenditure and complex consumption-based pricing models.
- Framework Implementation: Help operationalise a major new Digital Framework, embedding practical processes covering sourcing, call-offs, approvals, contract management and supplier performance.
- Process Improvement: Establish clear, proportionate commercial controls, templates and governance arrangements that create a sustainable legacy beyond the assignment.
What We're Looking For
We need a commercially astute, credible interim professional who can quickly establish themselves and deliver results in a complex technology environment.
You'll bring:
Significant experience in IT/Digital commercial management, technology procurement or complex contract management.
A proven track record negotiating high-value software, technology, managed services and Framework agreements.
Strong commercial acumen, with expertise in contract risk, pricing models, supplier performance and cost optimisation.
The confidence to challenge, influence and advise senior Digital, Technology, Finance, Procurement and Legal stakeholders.
Experience designing or improving commercial governance, Framework operating procedures and contract management processes.
The ability to operate independently, manage competing priorities and deliver tangible outcomes at pace.
Why This Assignment?
This isn't a business-as-usual contract management role.
It's an opportunity to make an immediate commercial impact, take ownership of complex Digital supplier arrangements and help shape the operating model supporting a significant new Framework.
You'll combine front-line commercial delivery with meaningful process transformation, leaving behind stronger supplier arrangements, improved commercial governance and a practical framework for long-term success.
Interested?
If you're an experienced IT Commercial Manager, Digital Procurement specialist or Technology Contracts professional with a track record of delivering in demanding interim environments, we'd welcome a conversation.
