An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Manager to support a specialist public sector organisation across infrastructure works, estates and hard and soft facilities management.

This assignment offers the opportunity to apply your NEC contracting expertise to a varied portfolio, working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to help programmes and projects deliver to time, cost and quality.

The opportunity

You will provide commercial and contractual support across construction, estates and facilities requirements, helping to translate business priorities into effective delivery.

Your focus will include:

  • Applying NEC contracting expertise across Engineering and Construction Contracts (ECC) and Professional Service Contracts (PSC).
  • Supporting procurement and commercial activity within public procurement requirements.
  • Managing supplier and stakeholder communication, ensuring clear understanding of priorities and business plans.
  • Working with project and programme teams to support delivery against time, cost and quality objectives.
  • Bringing commercial insight to infrastructure works and hard and soft facilities management.

What you will bring

We are looking for a commercial professional with a background in construction, estates or facilities, supported by:

  • Recent, practical NEC3 and/or NEC4 contracting experience, gained within the last three to four years. NEC4 is preferred.
  • Experience of ECC and PSC contracts.
  • Experience working with the Public Contracts Regulations and Defence and Security Public Contracts Regulations.
  • Commercial experience encompassing infrastructure works and hard and soft facilities management.
  • Strong supplier management and stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to explain priorities clearly and support delivery.

Defence sector experience, MCIPS or an equivalent qualification, and knowledge of the Procurement Act 2023 would be advantageous. Public sector procurement experience is preferred.

Active SC clearance and sole UK nationality are essential for this assignment.
