A high-impact Interim role, central to leading Financial Services organisation's major Trade Finance transformation programme. You'll shape how risk is managed across complex, high-value global trade flows, working at the intersection of financial crime, technology, and business growth.
The Role
- Drive requirements definition across the Trade Finance risk programme
- Translate Financial Crime, Sanctions, and Due Diligence needs into structured, actionable solutions
- Enhance automated controls within an OCR-driven trade processing platform
- Identify and mitigate risks tied to high-risk trade products and routes
- Collaborate across Trade, Financial Crime, Advisory, and QA teams
- Challenge, refine, and test risk coverage to ensure robust controls
- Support governance, delivery tracking (RAID), and milestone execution
Requirements
- Strong Trade Finance expertise, particularly in risk and controls
- Solid understanding of Financial Crime frameworks
- Experience translating regulation into practical control design
- Proven ability to work with complex data and unstructured documentation
- Experience designing, implementing, and refining pre-trade controls
- Strong, recent experience (2-3 years+) in Trade Finance risk
- Confident stakeholder engagement and decision-making skills
