SAP S/4HANA. Critical Go-Live. High-Impact Transformation.
Are you an experienced SAP Procure-to-Pay specialist who thrives in complex transformation environments? Do you have the technical expertise, commercial understanding and hands-on approach to keep Procurement operations moving through a critical SAP go-live?
We're supporting a leading global Life Sciences organisation as it integrates a recently acquired biotechnology business into its SAP environment.
This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in a business-critical transformation, providing frontline Procurement expertise during SAP go-live, hypercare and post-implementation stabilisation.
We need a genuine SAP P2P practitioner - someone who can troubleshoot complex transactions, resolve issues at pace and give stakeholders the confidence to operate effectively in a new SAP environment.
The Opportunity
You'll become the go-to SAP Procure-to-Pay expert, bridging the gap between local business stakeholders and international Procurement, Finance and IT teams.
Your focus will be on ensuring Procurement continuity, resolving operational challenges and accelerating SAP adoption during a period of significant organisational change.
Key responsibilities include:
SAP Go-Live & Hypercare: Provide hands-on operational support throughout cutover, implementation and post-go-live stabilisation.
End-to-End P2P: Manage complex Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, supplier transactions and purchasing workflows within SAP S/4HANA.
Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot invoice discrepancies, blocked payments, approval bottlenecks and transactional backlogs.
Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the trusted onsite SAP expert, coaching business users, reinforcing training and driving successful adoption.
Life Sciences Procurement: Support purchasing activities across R&D, clinical research, laboratory services, manufacturing and outsourced scientific services.
Process Improvement: Identify recurring issues, remove operational bottlenecks and help establish sustainable, efficient P2P processes.
What We're Looking For
This assignment requires more than SAP systems knowledge. We're looking for someone who combines deep SAP P2P expertise with practical experience of Procurement operations in a complex, regulated Life Sciences environment.
You'll bring:
5+ years' SAP Procure-to-Pay experience, including hands-on SAP S/4HANA expertise
Strong knowledge of PRs, POs, invoice reconciliation, approval workflows and supplier transaction management.
Understanding of complex services procurement, including CROs, R&D, laboratory services, SOWs, milestone-based contracts and service entry sheets.
Ideally, previous experience supporting SAP implementations, ERP transitions or hypercare environments.
The confidence to work independently, manage competing priorities and engage with stakeholders across international teams.
- German language skills are considered beneficial for this role
Why This Assignment?
This isn't a conventional BAU Procurement role.
You'll be joining at a pivotal point in a major business integration, with the opportunity to make an immediate, tangible difference to operational continuity and transformation success.
You'll gain exposure to an international Life Sciences environment, complex scientific Procurement activities and a high-profile SAP transition programme.
For an experienced SAP P2P contractor who enjoys solving problems, taking ownership and delivering results under pressure, this is a compelling opportunity.
