Interim Material Third Party (MTP) Regulatory Specialist
INTERIM Material Third Party (MTP) Regulatory Implementation Specialist
Are you a Third Party Risk, Supplier Risk or Regulatory Change specialist looking for an opportunity to play a key role in delivering a major new FCA/PRA regulatory requirement?
We are supporting a leading Financial Services organisation with the appointment of a Third Party Risk Regulatory Implementation Specialist to join an important regulatory change programme focused on the implementation of the new FCA and PRA Material Third Party (MTP) reporting requirements.
This is a hands‑on delivery role, working across Third Party Risk, Procurement, Compliance, Operational Resilience, Legal and Finance to translate regulatory requirements into practical processes, controls and high‑quality third‑party data.
The role
You will help take the organisation from regulatory interpretation through to implementation and BAU readiness, with responsibilities including:
- Translating FCA and PRA requirements into clear business requirements, processes and controls
- Consolidating and reconciling third‑party populations across multiple data sources
- Supporting the identification and assessment of Material Third Party arrangements
- Coordinating materiality assessments with business owners and gathering supporting evidence
- Helping develop and populate the organisation's MTP Register
- Identifying missing, inconsistent or incomplete supplier data and driving remediation
- Supporting the development of policies, procedures and controls
- Helping implement processes for identifying, approving, notifying and maintaining new or significantly changed Material Third Party arrangements
- Coordinating activity across Procurement, Compliance, Operational Resilience, Legal, Finance and wider business stakeholders
- Supporting testing of the MTP Register, notification processes and associated controls
- Maintaining a clear evidence trail demonstrating regulatory readiness
- Supporting training, governance, handover and transition into BAU
What we're looking for
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience across Third Party Risk, Supplier Risk, Outsourcing or Regulatory Change within a regulated environment.
You’ll need to demonstrate:
- Good knowledge of FCA and/or PRA third-party risk and outsourcing requirements
- Experience interpreting regulation and translating it into workable business processes and controls
- Strong data analysis, reconciliation and data‑quality skills
- Experience working with large, fragmented or unstructured supplier datasets
- The ability to identify data inconsistencies, process weaknesses and control gaps
- Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain robust documentation and evidence
Experience of Operational Resilience, DORA, regulatory registers/submissions, materiality assessments or supplier criticality assessments would be particularly advantageous.
Why consider it?
This is an opportunity to join a high‑profile regulatory implementation programme at an important stage in its development.
Rather than simply maintaining an established Third Party Risk framework, you’ll be directly involved in building and embedding the organisation's response to new FCA/PRA requirements - providing excellent exposure across Procurement, Risk, Compliance and Operational Resilience.
If your background combines Third Party Risk + Regulatory Change + strong data and stakeholder management skills, we’d be keen to hear from you.
