Our client is looking for Principal Consultants to join a rapidly growing procurement and contract advisory team supporting major programmes across the infrastructure, defence, energy and broader real estate sectors. This is an opportunity to work on some of the most significant and complex projects in the country while developing your career within a high-performing consultancy environment. You will influence major organisations, shape large-scale delivery strategies and operate alongside a team of specialist procurement, commercial and contract experts.
Responsibilities
- Deliver strategic procurement advisory services on major programmes, ensuring best practice and high-quality outcomes.
- Lead end-to-end procurement activities including tendering, supplier engagement, evaluation and negotiation.
- Shape procurement strategies, category approaches and commercial frameworks across varied spend areas.
- Build strong, trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders.
- Lead, develop and support a team of consultants to deliver successful outcomes.
- Provide market insight, supply chain intelligence and commercial analysis.
- Contribute to business development activity including proposals, bids and service growth.
- Support wider team objectives and play an active role in developing new services and capability.
Experience
- Delivering strategic procurement on major programmes within infrastructure, defence, energy or similarly complex environments.
- Strong leadership capability with the ability to guide teams and manage delivery.
- Skilled in tendering, supplier evaluation, commercial modelling and negotiation.
- Ability to develop procurement strategies and category approaches across direct and indirect spend areas.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong commercial acumen, analytical capability and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to act as a trusted advisor to senior clients.
- Business development experience including contributing to bids and proposals.
- Adaptable, proactive and confident in fast-paced consultancy environments.
Security Clearance (SC) is advantageous not required.
