The Opportunity
This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing contracting and commercial arrangements across a defined procurement portfolio, ensuring value for money, security of supply, and alignment with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and continuously improve procurement strategies that support wider programme objectives, delivering value for money, strong supplier performance, and effective risk management.
Lead end-to-end procurement and sourcing activities, including supplier pre-qualification, tender management, negotiations, and contract award.
Provide expert procurement and commercial advice across a designated portfolio.
Support the procurement of major contractors and influence subcontracting strategies where appropriate.
Ensure compliance with organisational policies, governance frameworks, legal requirements, and procurement regulations.
Manage strategic supplier relationships, driving performance and supporting business objectives.
Identify and implement cost-saving and efficiency opportunities across the portfolio.
Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, ensuring constructive feedback and continuous improvement.
Exercise delegated procurement authority in accordance with established governance processes.
