Senior Finance Assistant Huntingdon Β£34,000 - Β£37,000 depending on experience / proven track record Well above the normal employee benefits! Our client is seeking a new team member to join their finance team. The role is a varied position involving all aspects of the accounts department ensuring the purchase ledger, sales ledger and cash book are accurate and processed in real time. It will also involve processing weekly payroll, preparing monthly PAYE, bank reciliation, month end accruals and prepayments. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Purchase ledger – Daily inputting of invoices Reconciling supplier statements Processing payment runs Sales ledger – Credit control Processing customer receipts Sending customer statements and dealing with queries Raising invoices/credit notes Cash reconciliations Ensure the cash sales balance with the receipts received so any anomalies can be dealt with in a timely manner. Bank reconciliations Ensuring all payments in/out are correctly accounted for and the bank statements balance to the trial balance Reconciled on a monthly basis. Payroll Ensuring weekly staff are paid on time and accurately Running accurate reports for HMRC and payment runs Producing monthly PAYE return The successful candidate will need an AAT qualification as a minimum and have a great work ethic.
