Join Our Team
We are looking for motivated, reliable, and customer-focused individuals to join our clients Water Quality Sampling Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in protecting public health by helping to ensure the quality and safety of drinking water across our region.
Working independently across a variety of locations, no two days will be the same. You'll travel extensively, collect water samples from customer properties, businesses, and operational sites, and ensure samples are delivered safely and accurately for laboratory analysis.
What You'll Be Doing
- Collect water quality samples in accordance with regulatory and operational sampling programmes.
- Carry out investigative sampling activities when required.
- Prepare sampling equipment and bottles before each sampling round.
- Transport samples safely and efficiently to laboratory facilities.
- Travel independently between multiple locations throughout the day.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation relating to sampling activities.
- Engage professionally with customers, explaining the sampling process and answering questions.
- Follow all health and safety procedures, lone working policies, and quality standards.
- Support compliance with ISO17025 accreditation and water quality regulations.
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions throughout the year.
What We're Looking For
- A full UK manual driving licence.
- Experience following procedures, safe systems of work, and risk assessments.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- A customer-focused approach with strong communication skills.
- Confidence when approaching customers and accessing sampling locations.
- Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Willingness to learn new systems and processes.
- Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining safety and quality standards.
- Flexibility to participate in a standby rota, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to undertake manual handling duties and lift up to 25kg.

Working Pattern
- This role operates on a rotating shift pattern: 4 days on, 4 days off 10.5-hour shifts.
- Working between 6:30am and 5:30pm.
- Work Location: In person.
