The Role
As the Senior Management Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial planning, performance, and decision-making across the business. Acting as the primary finance contact for senior leaders, you will provide high-quality financial insight, budgeting, forecasting, and commercial support to enable informed decision-making within a complex, regulated environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading business planning and management accounting processes.
- Delivering accurate budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Providing commercial and strategic financial insight to senior stakeholders.
- Driving continuous improvement across finance processes.
- Building strong relationships with key stakeholders to effectively communicate priorities, timelines, and financial information.
- Ensuring financial integrity through robust financial controls and governance.
- Supporting the long-term sustainability and operational efficiency of the business.
- Deputising for the Finance Manager when required.
- Coaching and supporting other members of the finance team, particularly in business partnering best practice.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Full professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Strong experience in management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Proven business partnering experience, with the ability to coach and develop colleagues.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience of financial controls and governance.
- Industry experience and SAP S/4HANA (S4) knowledge would be advantageous.
