Finance Assistant/Bookkeeper required. Permanent hybrid after probation (2 days in office/3 from home) near Huntingdon. Β£26,000.
Our client, a delightful business near Huntingdon, is looking for a full-time Bookkeeper to join their business due to company growth! This is a great opportunity for a permanent role working with a company which provides stability and a great working environment. The job will turn hybrid after probation, with a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.
Your duties will include:
- Managing the bookkeeping needs of a portfolio of clients
- Posting/processing of sales and purchase invoices
- Bank reconciliations
- VAT returns
- Answering ad hoc client queries - dealing with clients via email, phone, face-to-face
- Working closely with the accounts team to ensure accurate reporting
You will need the following skills and experience to be suitable:
- Bookkeeping knowledge - essentially VAT returns and purchase ledger/sales ledger
- Experience using Xero & Sage bookkeeping platforms - training can be given where there are gaps in knowledge
- Experience managing a portfolio of clients preferable, or the ability to work quickly and adapt to new requirements
- High attention to detail
