Senior Conveyancing Assistant
Location: Flitwick
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £28,000 per annum
Hours: Mon – Thurs 9.00am – 5.30pm, Fri 9.00am – 5pm
We’re recruiting on behalf of a respected and well-established legal practice for a Senior Legal Secretary with strong experience in residential and commercial property transactions. This role supports a team of solicitors and ensures smooth, compliant handling of property matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level secretarial and administrative support to conveyancing solicitors
- Draft, format, and proofread legal documents and correspondence
- Handle Land Registry, SDLT, and mortgage documentation
- Manage diaries, schedule meetings, and coordinate with clients and stakeholders
- Maintain accurate client files and ensure regulatory compliance
- Process billing and financial transactions related to conveyancing
- Support junior secretaries and contribute to training as needed
Requirements:
- 3+ years’ experience as a Legal Secretary in conveyancing
- Strong knowledge of residential and commercial property transactions
- Proficient in MS Office and case management software
- Excellent typing, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with AML, GDPR, and compliance standards
