Job Description
Reach Truck Driver & Picker
Location: Bedford
Job Type: Full Time, Temp to Perm
Salary: £13 – £13.50 per hour, paid weekly whilst temping
Hours: Monday – Thursday 8am – 5pm & Friday 8am – 4pm
On behalf of our Bedford based client, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Reach Truck Driver to join their world class team. Our client operates a well-established distribution business that prioritises safety, efficiency, and employee development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate reach trucks to handle goods and materials.
- Load, unload, and store items in designated warehouse locations with precision.
- Perform pre-operational checks and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with inventory management, including picking, packing, and stock replenishment.
- Follow all health, safety, and company guidelines to ensure a secure work environment.
Requirements:
- Valid and current reach truck license (RTITB/ITSSAR or equivalent).
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role within a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to safety.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual handling tasks when required.
