Our client is a leading specialist in the world of leak repair and detection. They specialise in providing state-of-the-art technological services to their customers all around the UK, in homes and commercial properties. They are looking to recruit 3 Engineers to join their UK-wide team. This role is based in the SL postcode (Slough) and is urgent, so apply now!
As a Leak Detection Engineer, you will:
- Drive your company van to multiple sites per day in the local area and further afield, planning your own day in a timely manner to meet expectations.
- Attend all new leak detection inquiries as directed.
- Carry out non-intrusive investigations to detect, find, excavate and fix the leak.
- Find all leaks utilising the most appropriate and cost-effective methods.
- Provide written technical reports after each site visit.
- Carry out repairs as per the company expectations.
- Liaise with office, colleagues, insurers, loss adjusters, claims management companies and develop relationships.
- Provide clear and calm explanations of work carried out.
- Repudiate claims on site.
- Discuss next steps and run through any recommendations.
- Complete 3-6 months of training from day 1 to learn the company and job inside out.
To be suitable for the role of Engineer, you will need the following skills/experience:
- Customer service and experience of dealing with customers face to face.
- Ability to follow instructions and work quickly, bags of initiative and a pro-active attitude to work without supervision.
- Ideally come from a maintenance plumbing background, wanting to develop your career and learn new skills.
- NVQ level 2 plumbing (minimum).
- Desire to learn new technology and use your plumbing skills in a different way.
- Building construction knowledge.
- Experience of leak detection not essential, but must commit to 3-6 months of training.
- Basic IT skills.
In return, you will receive a great base salary plus bonus, with the option to work as much overtime as you would like, use of a company van, all equipment provided (just bring your own tools) and training & development from day 1.
