The defence industry is always growing. Our client, one of the fastest growing public safety and security solutions companies, is seeking an Aeromechanical Engineer to join their billion dollar program working with a C4ISR aircraft program working out of the UK.
Reporting to the Program Manager, you are to provide technical support to an aircraft program by monitoring the work performed by the subcontractor on design, manufacturing and testing of Mechanical matters (e.g. 3D A/C model, mechanical drawings, conceptual design, installation of mission systems, etc.) and to provide direction and oversight to sub-contractors for Mechanical matters.
Key experience we seek include:
- Field operational experience in the installation of payloads within and outside airborne platforms
- Experience in 3D design in CATIA and drawings release
- Familiar with stress analyses
- Experience with airborne racks’ design - a plus
- Experience with airborne qualification (vibration, shock…)
- Familiar with thermal analyses (airborne environmental systems, thermal design…)
- Interpersonal and communications skills and fluent in English
Attributes we seek include:
- Over 5 years of direct experience in Mechanical Engineering
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/ Aerospace Engineering
- Advanced degree (Masters) - a plus
