Overview

Senior Software Developer, Security for AI (Identity/Security) at 1Password. Remote opportunity within the UK. Join our new AI team as we scale and define secure AI workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the team’s technical direction, vision, and strategy in collaboration with other leaders.
  • Drive project delivery and technical decision-making, influencing project success and course-correcting as necessary.
  • Write code and solve complex technical problems directly and through others.
  • Inspire and mentor junior and intermediate developers to grow and deliver high impact.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to achieve business outcomes on schedule.
  • Design and secure identity and access management (IAM) workflows and protocols to enable safe interaction of AI agents with software and systems.

What we’re looking for / Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software development experience.
  • 2+ years of hands-on work with identity and access management protocols (OAuth, OIDC, SAML, authorization server concepts).
  • Strong foundation in security fundamentals and authentication/authorization flows.
  • Experience collaborating across product and security teams to design secure workflows.

Bonus Points

  • Familiarity with MCP servers and/or Computer Use tools.
  • Proficiency in Golang or Rust.
  • Experience with HTTP proxies and gateways.
  • Interest or exposure to AI/LLM technologies.
