Rust Software Developer, Security for AI

1Password is growing fast. We’ve surpassed $400M in ARR and are continuing to accelerate. We are building the foundation for a safe, productive digital future and are hiring to support AI adoption and security-focused work.

We’re thrilled to scale a new team and are looking for two Rust Developers to join us. This is a remote opportunity within the Netherlands and UK, with an optional co-working space in Delft. We collaborate with colleagues in the UK, US, and Canada. As a remote-first company, we lean into asynchronous workflows, and occasional evening availability may be required to collaborate across time zones.

What we are looking for

• Comfort stepping into new problem spaces and unfamiliar domains with a track record of quickly building expertise through curiosity, adaptability, and continuous learning.
• 3+ years of software development experience.
• At least 1 year of professional software development experience in Rust.

Bonus points if you already have

• Strong foundation in security fundamentals and authentication/authorization flows.
• Experience collaborating across product and security teams to design secure workflows.
• Experience with Golang and/or TypeScript.
• Experience building back-end systems with composable, self-contained services.
• Experience with WASM.
• Hands-on work with identity and access management protocols (e.g. OAuth, OIDC).

• Participate in planning by identifying major tasks and breaking down, estimating, and planning work.
• Review code to maintain high code quality and support knowledge sharing within the team.
• Stay informed about the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in development.
• Mentor junior and new team members through technical guidance and pair programming.
