Job Overview

Employment Type: Freelance Self-Employed

Reports To: Product Manager

Location: TW2 Health and Fitness Club, Twickenham

Key Responsibilities

  • Class Delivery: Plan and instruct dynamic Matwork classes ranging from beginner to advanced levels.
  • Safety and Modifications: Provide regressions, progressions, and verbal cueing to accommodate mixed ability groups, injuries, or specialized populations such as pre or post natal clients.
  • Member Engagement and Retention: Build rapport with club members, promote class schedules, and drive studio retention.
  • Pre Screening: Conduct verbal Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire assessments prior to class to identify medical conditions or postural issues.
  • Studio Maintenance: Ensure all Pilates equipment such as mats, blocks, bands, magic rings, Reformers, or Cadillacs are safely set up, cleaned, and inspected before and after classes.

Required Qualifications and Certifications

  • Core Qualification: Level 3 Diploma in Teaching Pilates or Matwork Pilates accredited by CIMSPA.
  • Professional Body: Membership with CIMSPA or REPs.
  • Public Liability Insurance with minimum five million pounds coverage.
