Aqua Aerobics Instructor - TW2 Health and Fitness Club - Twickenham, London Reports To: Product Manager Location: TW2 Health and Fitness Club, Twickenham Contract Type: Freelance, Self-employee Position Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic, qualified Aqua Aerobics Instructor to design and deliver safe, high energy, low impact group exercise sessions in our swimming pool. You will lead inclusive water based workouts tailored to members of all ages and abilities, utilising water resistance, fitness equipment, and music to foster an engaging, welcoming environment. Key Responsibilities Class Delivery and Choreography Plan and deliver structured water based fitness sessions, including cardio, core strength, and mobility, in line with industry standards. Clearly demonstrate movements from poolside while offering adaptations, progressions, and regressions for varied fitness levels or physical restrictions. Select, curate, and operate appropriate music tracks to maintain tempo, class structure, and member motivation. Health, Safety, and Pool Deck Management Ensure member safety by maintaining strict observation of the pool area and enforcing venue safety policies and normal operating procedures. Inspect equipment, including noodles, water dumbbells, kickboards, and resistance bands, before and after sessions to ensure safe working order. Keep the pool deck clear of trip hazards and ensure all kit is stored tidily after use. Member Experience and Administration Build positive rapport with members, welcoming newcomers and providing guidance on water based exercise benefits. Track attendance records via our management system and report any pool or equipment issues promptly to the Duty Manager. Qualifications and Prerequisites Essential Level 2 Certificate in Group Training, Fitness Instructing, or Exercise to Music. Recognised Aqua Aerobics or Water Based Exercise Qualification, such as Level 2 Award in Instructing Water Based Exercise, STA Aquacise, Swim England Level 2, or AEA. Personal Public Liability Insurance if self employed.
