Creating Active Futures (CAF) operate and manage sports and leisure facilities provided by local authorities. The aim is to operate community based sports and leisure facilities, enhancing accessibility for all individuals to engage in diverse physical activities. Specifically, CAF aims to empower individuals to overcome barriers to participation in sports and leisure including those facing financial constraints, limited opportunities, or lacking necessary support to fully engage in sports activities.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We will need you to achieve monthly membership and income targets, as well as taking a proactive approach to increasing our membership base, use data to analyse key performance indicators and be able to lead and motivate your teams to exceed their targets. Primary objectives for the Regional Sales Manager will be:

  • Implementing sales strategies.
  • Achieve new business and revenue targets within your site and improve membership net gain performance.
  • Working as part of the management team, but also collaborating across the wider organisation.
  • This role will support the Centre Manager in the delivery of sales net gain numbers at Broughton Astley Leisure Centre.
  • Reporting daily sales performance and questioning and interrogating below budget performance at site.
  • This role will take ownership and deploy use of our CRM system to ensure all staff are recording and managing their sales leads and appointments enabling you to report and manage individual sales performance with the Centre Manager.
  • You will be expected to deliver regular Sales training to site based staff, assessing and signing off OTE (on target earnings) eligibility.
  • Completing regular site Sales Audits.
  • You will be required to provide analysis on performance with recommendations into the operating structure.
  • Lead and develop site teams to help drive a sales and accountability culture.
  • To take responsibility for all aspects of the sales journey from mystery shops to hitting the monthly membership targets.
  • To ensure the development and growth of the membership base.
  • To have an involvement in the day-to-day management of the membership team, setting KPI's, motivating the staff and delivering training to ensure the highest levels of customer service are always achieved.
  • To actively perform outreach & network within the community to the benefit of the company, creating corporate links, marketing opportunities and embedding the centre within the heart of the community.
  • To work closely with the marketing team to ensure that sales are driven via social media platforms.
  • To cover Duty Manager shifts as and where required as a Trainee Duty Manager.

The successful candidate will need to deliver on the following:

  • Implement the company sales strategy.
  • Evaluate individual and site KPI performance and provide appropriate interventions to improve numbers in-line with national targets.
  • Roll out and provide training and support on a Sales Lead Portal system.
  • Support the development of our site based sales staff.
  • Develop and manage our sales and member journey.
  • Provide regular training to site based staff and sign-off OTE eligibility.
  • Seek opportunities to drive efficiency.
  • Build strong relationships with key individuals in key accounts for the business.
  • Have a good working understanding of all services lines offered by the Group.
  • Complete a monthly regional report for all membership sales areas.
  • Implement and ensure all sales policies are followed and adhered to.
  • Participate in training courses for own development and ensure the continuous development of others within the team.
  • Take an active interest in new developments within all areas of fitness and wellbeing.

The role cannot be defined fully, but in all matters the post holder must demonstrate leadership, and command respect within the business. All decisions must be communicated clearly both to those responsible to the post holder and to those persons the post holder reports to.
