1Four1 Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established children's residential care provider seeking a dedicated Registered Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of a children's home in Romford.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manager to lead a committed team, maintain high standards of care, and make a lasting difference to the lives of young people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the children's home.
  • Ensure the home operates in line with Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and company policies.
  • Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing staff team through supervision, appraisal and ongoing support.
  • Promote positive outcomes for children and young people through high-quality, person-centred care.
  • Work closely with families, professionals and external agencies to ensure effective care planning.
  • Oversee safeguarding, health & safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage staffing levels, recruitment, training and performance management.
  • Monitor budgets, records and operational performance.
  • Participate in the out-of-hours management on-call rota as required.
  • Drive continuous improvement and maintain high standards across the service.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Registered Children's Home Manager, Deputy Manager, or in a senior leadership role within a children's residential setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and safeguarding legislation.
  • Proven leadership and people management experience.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children, families and partner agencies.
  • Passion for achieving outstanding outcomes for children and young people.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • No sponsorship is available for this position.
