About the Role We are seeking a dedicated Premises Officer to join our Academy in Crawley. You will be responsible for ensuring the Academy is well-maintained, safe, and secure while delivering a high level of customer-focused service. The role involves undertaking maintenance, janitorial, and caretaking duties, as well as supervising external contractors when required. Key Responsibilities * Maintain a clean, safe, and secure Academy environment. * Provide and maintain a high level of customer-focused service. * Carry out caretaking duties, including general maintenance, painting & decorating, janitorial tasks, and portage. * Conduct minor repairs and ensure the upkeep of facilities. * Monitor and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. * Supervise and liaise with external contractors to ensure work is completed to a high standard. * Respond to any premises-related issues efficiently. * Assist with setting up rooms and equipment for school activities when required. Essential Requirements * Practical skills in maintenance, cleaning, and general repairs (e.g., DIY, painting & decorating, general upkeep). * Experience in maintaining health and safety standards in a workplace. * Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office. * Full clean driving licence with access to own transport. * Enhanced DBS due to the nature of the role * Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
