Working within a residential care setting, you'll prepare fresh, nutritious meals that enhance the wellbeing of residents while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, hygiene and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook fresh, nutritious meals using seasonal ingredients.
- Create varied menus that meet dietary, cultural and medical requirements.
- Maintain exceptional food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness standards.
- Monitor stock levels, rotate food correctly and manage kitchen inventory.
- Ensure compliance with Food Hygiene, COSHH and Health & Safety regulations.
- Supervise and support kitchen staff where required.
- Liaise with the wider care team to meet residents' changing needs.
- Ensure meals are attractively presented and delivered to a high standard.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Cook in a commercial kitchen.
- Food Safety Level 2 Certificate (or equivalent).
- Willingness to work towards Food Safety Level 3.
- Experience preparing fresh food and a variety of cuisines.
- Strong understanding of food hygiene legislation.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Previous supervisory experience is desirable.
- Care home catering experience is advantageous.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Right to work in the UK.
