HGV Class 2 – Removals Guildford Want to be part of one of the UK’s top removal companies, operating a nationwide service for domestic and business relocations? Established in 1854, my client has a reputation for service and reliability. They are looking for a HGV Class 2 Driver for their depot n Guildford, to work as part of a team, supporting the crew with all aspects of removals and duties. What the Job Entails * Initially shadowing current Drivers to secure knowledge of the role, routes and build confidence * Interacting and communicating effectively with our Customers and Colleagues in the movement of good across UK and Europe * Provide assistance in the moving and handling of customer goods, including driving to and from location (long and short distances) across the UK and Europe * Packing and wrapping customer goods before manually and physically lifting (aided and unaided) onto vehicles or into location * Completing the necessary on the job paperwork to a high standard * Undertake daily vehicle and safety checks, routine maintenance (e.g. oil and water checks) and report any defects. * Following H&S Guidelines and carrying out Banks-person duties * Undertake the regular training required as part of the Driver Continuing Professional Competence (CPC qualification) What we need from you * CPC & Tacho Card Essential * Able to complete daily vehicle walk around checks * Load and unload while adhering to safe loading practices * Comply with Company drivers policy and procedures * Comply with UK & EU Tachograph regulations * Reliability * NEW DRIVERS CONSIDERED Benefits * Permanent Position offered after an initial 13 week Temporary contract * Company pension * Employee discount * Health & wellbeing programme * Additional Pay: Tips * Pay increase once permanent Schedule * Monday to Friday * Weekend availability * Overtime availability
