We are now hiring for Domestic Assistants to work day shifts in care homes in the Brighton region. This is a flexible position for reliable, hard-working individuals who take delight in keeping places clean, safe and friendly for residents, visitors and staff.
Role Overview
- Help with the daily cleanliness and hygiene of the care home.
- Work closely with the wider care team and adhere to all infection control, health and safety and safeguarding procedures.
- Clean resident rooms, common areas, restrooms and staff areas.
- Dusting, vacuuming, mopping and other cleaning activities.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Follow infection control and prevention practices.
- Use your cleaning materials and equipment safely.
- Proper and safe disposal of waste.
- Report any risks, damage or concerns to the correct person.
- Respect resident dignity, privacy and confidentiality.
- Work professionally and politely with residents and care staff.
- Follow care home policies and procedures.
Candidate Requirements:
- DBS enhancement recorded on the Update Service or readiness to receive one.
- Mandatory training up to date & relevant to working in care settings.
- A cheerful, compassionate and professional attitude.
- Good attention to detail.
- The capacity to follow directions and work safely.
- Reliability, promptness and flexibility.
- Can operate both solo and as part of a team.
- Previous domestic, cleaning, healthcare or care home experience would be an advantage but the appropriate attitude and desire to learn are equally crucial.
