1Four1 Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a growing care provider for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a brand-new flagship children's home in Warrington.
The service will support children with complex needs and profound learning disabilities within a trauma-informed care setting.
You will have the autonomy to shape the home, its team and its culture, backed by a supportive operational team.
The role
You will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home, maintaining high standards of care, safeguarding and regulatory compliance.
Your focus will be on building a stable team and creating an environment where children receive consistent support and achieve positive outcomes.
- What you'll be doing
- Lead the home in line with its Statement of Purpose and the provider's care approach.
- Manage daily operations and maintain consistently high standards of care.
- Build a strong safeguarding culture across the service.
- Lead, supervise and develop the staff team through regular supervision, appraisal and training.
- Maintain compliance with Ofsted requirements, the Children's Homes Regulations and relevant legislation.
- Develop effective relationships with children, families, staff and external professionals.
What we're looking for
- Level 5 Diploma in Children and Young People – Residential Childcare.
- At least two years' experience managing a children's service.
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted requirements and children's social care legislation.
- A track record of leading, developing and motivating staff.
- A valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
- Availability to participate in the on-call rota.
- Useful but not essential
- Experience of Ofsted inspections resulting in Good or Outstanding judgements.
- Experience supporting children with complex needs or profound learning disabilities.
- Experience working within therapeutic or trauma-informed care models.
