Donia is a modern Filipino restaurant located on the top floor of Kingly Court, Soho, reinterpreting Filipino flavours through seasonal British ingredients and contemporary culinary techniques. We are seeking a talented and driven Chef de Partie to lead a designated section of the kitchen and contribute to the continued excellence of our award-winning team. This is an opportunity to work in a creative, ambitious kitchen that is pushing the conversation around modern Filipino cuisine.
Key Responsibilities:
Section Management
- Take ownership of a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring smooth preparation and service.
- Maintain high standards of mise en place, organisation, and cleanliness.
- Deliver dishes consistently to Donia’s specification and plating standards.
Food Preparation & Execution
- Prepare and cook menu items with precision, consistency, and attention to detail.
- Uphold Donia’s modern interpretation of Filipino cuisine while respecting authenticity.
- Ensure quality control of ingredients and finished dishes.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to ensure seamless service.
- Support and guide Commis Chefs and Demi CDPs within your section.
- Communicate clearly and effectively during busy service periods.
Stock & Cost Control
- Assist with stock rotation, ordering, and minimising waste.
- Ensure proper storage and labelling of ingredients in line with food safety standards.
Health & Safety
- Maintain full compliance with food hygiene and health & safety regulations.
- Keep your section clean, organised, and inspection-ready at all times.
Skills & Attributes:
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Demi CDP ready to step up.
- Experience in a quality-led or fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong technical cooking skills and understanding of flavour balance.
- Interest in Filipino cuisine and modern cooking techniques.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Calm and composed under pressure.
- Passionate, ambitious, and eager to grow within a creative kitchen.
Work Schedule:
- Full-Time
- 5 Days per Week
- Approx. 48 Hour Working Week
