The Loader is responsible for efficiently loading and unloading products within the warehouse and onto delivery trucks. This role ensures accurate order fulfillment, proper product handling, and timely shipment of goods. The Warehouse Loader works in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards, organization, and productivity goals.
Job Duties
- Pick, pack, and stage outbound orders following company standards for accuracy and quality.
- Perform inventory activities, including cycle counts, stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO as required).
- Sort, label, and organize materials to maintain a clean and efficient warehouse layout.
- Prepare shipments, including shrink-wrapping, pad wrapping and applying shipping labels or documentation to adequately distinguish product differences.
- Load and unload trucks safely using approved methods and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records in warehouse management systems (WMS) or handheld scanners.
- Keep work areas clean and free of hazards, following 5S and company housekeeping guidelines.
- Follow all safety rules, policies, and procedures, including PPE requirements.
- Assist with special projects, inventory adjustments, or operational tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent, required.
- Experience: Retail sales, specifically furniture, preferred.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements
- Physical Demands: Standing/walking for extended periods; Able to lift and maneuver furniture up to 150+ lbs. with assistance.
- Work Environment: Distribution Center/Warehouse
- Schedule: Weekdays, Weekends, and Holidays, as required.
