A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and versatile Private Chef to join a wonderful family on a permanent basis. The family is looking for a talented chef who enjoys variety and can confidently prepare a broad range of cuisines, from fresh, home-cooked Mediterranean and Middle Eastern dishes to Asian, Italian, Mexican and other international styles.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing lunch and dinner from Monday to Thursday, with Sundays focused on brunch and potentially dinner. The family enjoys varied menus and are keen for the style of cooking to change regularly, rather than following the same cuisine or dishes each day. The chef should also be confident catering for guests and hosting occasions when required. This may involve preparing larger meals, dinner parties and multiple dishes, with an understanding of when food should be beautifully presented and more polished, whilst still being equally comfortable creating relaxed, family-style meals.
Cleanliness and organisation are extremely important to the family. They are looking for someone who works in a calm, organised and unhurried manner, cleans as they go, and leaves the kitchen, equipment and surfaces spotless and properly organised at the end of each shift. Grocery shopping and ingredient sourcing will also form part of the role, including planning ahead to ensure everything required for the menus is available.
Working Monday to Thursday from 1:00pm to 7:00pm and Sundays from 11:00am to 6:00pm, the successful candidate must be able to commit to these set days and hours consistently. This is not a role suited to someone with multiple positions or with changing availability, as the family are looking for someone reliable who can become a trusted and long-term member of their household.
