We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Personal Assistant to join a well-established and highly-regarded accountancy firm based in Harrow, London. The firm has a long-standing reputation for excellence in financial and consultancy services and is looking to appoint a PA to support one of its key Partners. In addition to this 1:1 support, the PA will also assist the wider team with occasional administrative and organisational duties. This is a collaborative team, and requires a PA who is flexible and able to support with a wide range of responsibilities. This role requires exceptional organisational skills, strong communication abilities, and a proactive approach to handling a busy schedule and dynamic workload. The Partner is professional, driven, energetic and has a growing portfolio โ he is looking for a self-starting PA to assist him with this increased workload. Usual working hours are from 9am to 5:30pm, with flexibility required at times. There is a competitive salary on offer, as well as a performance bonus.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE
- Extensive diary management for the Partner
- Prepare documents and internal/external communications
- Spreadsheet creation and management using Excel
- Act as a point of contact on behalf of the Partner
- Provide administrative support to the partner and the wider team
- Oversee the partnerโs client portfolio to ensure that the firmโs filing obligation for clients are undertaken on a timely basis.
- Undertake fee proposals for new clients and identify selling opportunities.
- Meet prospective clients and also pick up new enquiries that are received.
- Undertake tax planning for both personal and corporate clients.
- Write reports and memos in respect of tax advice that will need to be provided to clients.
- Review business plans and forecasts to support immigration applications.
- Undertaking final review of accounts, and tax returns, and discussing with clients.
- Approving client packs for the secretary to publish to clients.
- Undertaking presentations locally and at international conferences/networking events.
- Provide administrative support to the partner and the wider team
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- Minimum of 3 years\โ experience as a PA in a professional environment (ideally finance or accountancy, but this is not essential)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to undertake work independently and bring new ideas to the practice.
- Fluency in English to mother-tongue level
- Excellent organisational skills and a proactive attitude
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, an expert in Excel
- Additional software required: CCH, SAGE, VT Transaction, Receiptbank, Quickbooks, Xero, CCH
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism
- Hardworking and driven
- Excellent verifiable references
