We’re working with a lovely UHNW family relocating from London to Berkshire who are looking to hire a strong, proactive Private PA to support this next phase. This is a broad, hands-on role combining private PA, household management and operational support, with a real focus on bringing structure and organisation to a busy, evolving environment during a period of transition. It’s a great opportunity for someone looking for a long-term role where they can take real ownership and become a trusted part of a private household.

You’ll work closely with the principal as a true right-hand, overseeing day-to-day operations and keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes. With a house move, property search and longer-term build project underway, there’s plenty of scope to take ownership and make the role your own. Strong local knowledge of Berkshire would be highly beneficial as the family settle into a new area, particularly when it comes to sourcing suppliers, activities and day-to-day support.

The family are warm and down-to-earth but operate at pace and have high standards. They’re looking for someone switched on, confident and able to take initiative, make decisions and keep things moving without constant direction. They have school-age children, so previous experience working in households with children would be ideal, particularly to support with scheduling, coordination and recommending activities where needed.

This role suits someone practical, calm under pressure and naturally proactive, with a “no fuss”, get-it-done approach. You’ll be comfortable managing people, firm but fair, and able to build strong relationships across a range of personalities.

Core hours are 9–6, Monday to Friday, with flexibility required for occasional evenings and weekends around travel or events. The role is based from the principal’s home.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE

  • Managing complex diaries, schedules and logistics across family life and commitments
  • Overseeing the smooth running of the household across multiple properties
  • Coordinating international and domestic travel, including itineraries and last-minute changes with the established Executive Assistant
  • Supporting an upcoming relocation, including property search, setup and ongoing project coordination
  • Liaising with contractors, suppliers and service providers, ensuring high standards are maintained
  • Managing and supporting household staff, including rota coordination and recruitment support
  • Acting as a key point of organisation between household and family office elements
  • Supporting with children-related logistics (scheduling, activities, travel), where required
  • Handling ad hoc requests, problem-solving and ensuring everything runs seamlessly behind the scenes
  • Assisting with events, travel planning and general lifestyle coordination

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Proven experience as a Private PA / EA within a UHNW household or similar, high standard and fast-paced environment
  • Experience working in private households with school-age children, with the ability to support scheduling, coordination and recommend activities
  • Strong local knowledge of Berkshire, with established contacts across suppliers, schools, activities and lifestyle services highly advantageous
  • Highly proactive, confident and able to take ownership without constant direction
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Experience managing complex schedules, travel and multiple priorities
  • A team player, comfortable managing staff and liaising closely with the existing EA
  • Strong communication skills with a calm, solutions-led approach
  • High level of discretion, emotional intelligence and professionalism
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a very strong work ethic
  • Able to work predominantly on-site in Berkshire
  • Right to work in the UK and strong verifiable references
