We are seeking a highly capable and emotionally intelligent Personal Assistant to support the principal of an established and highly respected private family office based in Central London. The principal is a highly successful entrepreneur involved across global investment and philanthropic ventures, and this is a fantastic opportunity for a high-level PA or EA looking for a long-term role within a warm, down-to-earth and family-first environment.
The role will provide predominantly private support to the principal and wider family, alongside selected family office and business-related responsibilities. It requires someone highly organised, discreet and proactive, with strong judgement, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage a varied and fast-moving workload with calm efficiency.
The successful candidate will be confident operating at a senior level, liaising seamlessly with advisors, stakeholders and external contacts, whilst also remaining hands-on and service-oriented in their day-to-day approach. This role would suit someone who enjoys becoming truly embedded within a principal’s life and values building long-term, trusted relationships.
The family office has a collaborative, respectful and low-ego culture. Whilst communication styles are professional and formal, the environment itself is not highly corporate, instead valuing intelligence, adaptability, warmth and professionalism. The role offers genuine variety, from complex diary and travel coordination to interesting research tasks, personal administration and family logistics.
The successful candidate will work closely with the principal and wider support team from the family’s Central London offices Monday-Friday, 9am-6pm. Given the nature of the role, some flexibility and responsiveness outside of core hours will be required, particularly during busy periods, while travelling, or simply to acknowledge urgent messages when needed.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE:
- Managing and coordinating complex personal and professional diaries across multiple family members and commitments
- Organising domestic and international travel arrangements, including commercial flights, itineraries, accommodation, transfers and managing schedule changes
- Supporting with personal administration, scheduling and day-to-day organisation for the principal
- Conducting detailed research projects across a broad range of areas including medical specialists, travel, suppliers, education, lifestyle and family-related matters
- Preparing information, documents and briefing materials ahead of meetings and appointments
- Managing correspondence, emails and follow-up actions with professionalism and discretion
- Liaising with senior stakeholders, advisors, portfolio companies and external contacts on behalf of the principal
- Assisting with selected family office administration including property-related matters, philanthropy and investment-related coordination
- Maintaining highly organised filing systems and ensuring sensitive information and documentation is managed securely and efficiently
- Greeting guests and helping ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the office environment
- Supporting with family logistics, children’s scheduling and occasional multi-generational family requirements where needed
- Assisting with healthcare-related coordination and appointments with sensitivity and discretion
- Working collaboratively alongside the existing PA support team and wider office staff
- Acting as a highly trusted right-hand support within a role that requires flexibility, initiative and excellent judgement
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant or Private PA supporting senior executives, founders, UHNW individuals or family offices
- Strong experience operating within both private and professional environments
- Previous office-based or corporate exposure is essential
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
- Emotionally intelligent, discreet and highly professional at all times
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong research and organisational capabilities with the confidence to work independently and proactively
- Comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information with maturity and discretion
- Naturally hands-on with a low-ego and collaborative approach
- Able to build trusted relationships whilst maintaining professionalism and boundaries
- Financially sensible and commercially aware, with a practical and solutions-focused mindset
- Comfortable supporting across both personal and business-related matters
