About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead statistical strategy across multiple complex project workstreams, ensuring alignment with business objectives and scientific rigor.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in statistical innovation, providing guidance and support to cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Translate data-driven insights into clear, actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Foster collaboration across diverse internal and external stakeholders, including Discovery, R&D, Medical Affairs, and other strategic partners.
  • Champion innovation by introducing cutting-edge approaches that enhance project outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other statistical leaders within the company to drive a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
  • People leadership: Lead a high-performing team of statisticians. Mentor and develop talent, fostering technical excellence and career growth. Qualifications & Experience

  • PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, or related field preferred with 10+ years of industry experience, or MSc and 15+ years of industry experience, with a proven track record of innovation and strategic influence in pharmaceutical development.
  • Deep expertise in advanced statistical methodologies, including causal inference and machine learning, and in leveraging real-world data to inform clinical development plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence strategic decisions through data-driven insights, with a track record for global scientific leadership in the development and evaluation of modern program/trial design methodologies.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with experience navigating cross-functional and external partnerships.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, able to drive alignment and maintain focus on program goals.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to explain novel and standard methods to scientific and clinical colleagues.
  • Experience in capability building within organizations.
