Customer Marketing Manager On-Trade (Maternity Cover) London

As a member of the Customer Marketing team, you will be responsible for maximising value and commercial impact for our portfolio of brands with key Customers. Additionally, you will implement activation strategies for your assigned channels or group of customers within the UK. The role involves collaboration with stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, BBI (Brand and Business Insights), and IMC (Integrated Marketing Communications) to execute best-in-class activation strategies.
The scope also includes customer-specific artwork development, shopper-focused media planning, onsite activity planning, and execution aligned with a retail approach. The ideal candidate has a solid commercial background, demonstrates strategic thinking, manages multiple projects, and works seamlessly with cross-functional teams.
This position requires travel of approximately 30%.
We are hiring two maternity cover roles – one until January 2026 and another until May 2026.
What You Can Expect
- Support the delivery of financial targets versus annual budgets.
- Prioritise key tasks across channels and customer groups.
- Plan customer-specific marketing strategies in collaboration with Brand and Sales teams.
- Contribute to monthly business reviews, highlighting opportunities or risks.
- Maximise digital opportunities with customer-driven, operationally easy, consumer-facing activations.
- Assist Sales in managing customer P&L’s, aligning with the strategy to ‘Make It A Double’.
- Analyze customer and business issues to inform activation strategies and unlock growth.
- Manage and track budgets, ensuring activations stay within financial parameters.
- Evaluate activations against KPIs and ROI, providing insights for planning.
- Maintain relationships with Customer Buying and Marketing teams to ensure alignment with strategies.
- Regularly visit trade channels and understand operational challenges.

- Experience in customer understanding and insight.
- Ability to develop tenders, annual plans, and bespoke activations.
- Project management skills, including budgeting and resource planning.
- Strong commercial acumen.
- Excellent analytical, conceptual, and communication skills.
- Proactive, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
- Team player with collaborative skills.
