Job Summary

Are you an experienced and compassionate nurse looking to develop your skills in a specialist setting? We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our dedicated Urology Outpatients Team, supporting patients undergoing Local Anaesthetic Transperineal (LATP) biopsies and flexible cystoscopy procedures. You will play a key role in maintaining patient dignity and comfort while assisting with minor surgical procedures and consultations. You’ll support a forward‑thinking multidisciplinary team committed to delivering safe, effective, and person‑centred care.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate individualised nursing care for patients attending urology outpatient procedures
• Prepare and manage clinical environments for LATP biopsies and flexible cystoscopies
• Assist urologists with procedures, including patient positioning, local anaesthetic administration and equipment handling
• Deliver patient education and after‑care advice
• Ensure effective infection prevention and control measures
• Accurately document care delivered and contribute to quality improvement

Contract Details

Bank, 1 year duration, flexible working, ad‑hoc weekend shifts (8:00‑18:00), ongoing.

Person Specification

• Minimum 2 years experience within an out‑patient setting
• Minimum 6 months experience practising in urology outpatients within the last 12 months
