This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced ward teams in a well-supported, patient-focused environment while benefiting from flexible additional sessions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support patients throughout their inpatient surgical journey within a Urology ward setting.
  • Assist nursing staff in delivering high standards of patient-centred care.
  • Take and record patient observations accurately, escalating concerns appropriately.
  • Assist with stock control, equipment checks, and general housekeeping duties to maintain a safe clinical environment.
  • Provide compassionate, professional, and dignified care to all patients.

Requirements

  • Currently practising, or has practised, as a Ward HCA within a surgical or inpatient setting for a minimum of 6 months within the last 12 months.
  • Proven experience working in the NHS
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary theatre team.
