Urology Outpatient Nurse - Midlands

Job Summary

We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our dedicated Urology Outpatients Team, supporting patients undergoing Local Anaesthetic Transperineal (LATP) biopsies and flexible cystoscopy procedures. You will be part of a forward‑thinking multidisciplinary team committed to delivering safe, effective and person‑centred care. This role involves clinical support and patient coordination for urology diagnostic and treatment clinics, particularly LATP and flexible cystoscopy services.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate individualised nursing care for patients attending urology outpatient procedures.
• Prepare and maintain clinical environments for LATP biopsies and flexible cystoscopies.
• Assist urologists with procedures, including patient positioning, local anaesthetic administration and equipment handling.
• Deliver patient education and after‑care advice.
• Ensure effective infection prevention and control measures.
• Accurately document care delivered and contribute to quality improvement.

Person Specification

• Minimum 2 years experience within an outpatient setting.
• Currently practising or has practised within urology outpatients for at least 6 months within the last 12‑month period.
