Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough surgical pre-operative assessments.
- Complete risk stratification and ensure all required tests are performed.
- Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient readiness for surgery.
- Provide clear, compassionate patient education and guidance.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration.
- Currently practising, or has practised as a Surgical Pre-operative assessment Nurse for a minimum of 6 months within the last 12 months.
- Proven NHS experience.
- Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
