We are currently seeking experienced Dental nurses to support weekend insourcing surgical lists in Southampton, helping deliver NHS waiting list initiatives across:
- Patient care pathways
- Chairside assistance
- Infection control
- Tooth extractions
This is an excellent opportunity to join experienced teams delivering high-quality patient care throughout all stages of the perioperative pathway.
Requirements
To be considered, you must:
- Be currently working within an NHS trust in an Oral surgery service
- Have recent, hands-on experience supporting patients within Oral surgery/tooth extractions
- Have been actively undertaking this work for at least 6 months within the past 12 months
You will also have:
- Active registration as a Registered Dental Nurse (GDC)
- Recent post-registration experience in oral and maxillofacial surgery or on surgical wards
Responsibilities include supporting with:
- Preparing patients for clinics, providing support to anxious patients
- Delivering sensitive pre- and post-operative education (such as oral hygiene and cancer care)
- Clinic and treatment room preparation
- Assisting clinicians to ensure safe and efficient patient care delivery
