18 Week Support is seeking experienced Endoscopy Consultants to join their friendly and supportive team across the UK. The role primarily involves weekend sessions, with excellent day rates paid into a Limited Company. You will contribute to reducing NHS referral-to-treatment waiting times through mixed OGD and colonic lists and support long‑term projects.

Job Description & Responsibilities:

  • Partnership with specialised NHS Trusts looking for experienced Endoscopy Consultants to assist with referral waiting lists.
  • Start date: January 2024.
  • Work pattern: Saturday and Sunday (10‑hour shifts 8:00‑18:00).
  • Duration: 3 months with view to extend.
  • Primary duties: Endoscopy patient waiting list initiatives, mixed OGD and colon lists, flexible work to fit NHS or other commitments.

Qualifications:

  • Desirable: GMC Specialist Registration

Experience:

  • Essential: Minimum of 1 year experience at Consultant level in the NHS.

Right to Work:

  • Essential: Right to work in the UK.

Disclosure and Barring Service Check:

Submission for Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB) required under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
