Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough surgical pre-operative assessments.
  • Complete risk stratification and ensure all required tests are performed.
  • Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient readiness for surgery.
  • Provide clear, compassionate patient education and guidance.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration.
  • Currently practising, or has practised as a Surgical Pre-operative assessment Nurse for a minimum of 6 months within the last 12 months.
  • Proven NHS experience.
  • Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
