About The Role
We are currently seeking experienced Dermatology Outpatient Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) to support weekend insourcing clinics, helping deliver NHS waiting list initiatives across a range of dermatology services.
This is an excellent opportunity to join experienced teams delivering high-quality patient care within busy outpatient settings, supporting clinicians and patients throughout their clinic journey.
Requirements
To be considered, you must:
- Have recent, hands-on experience supporting dermatology outpatient clinics
- Have been actively undertaking this work for at least 6 months within the past 12 months
You will also have:
- Experience working as a Healthcare Assistant within an NHS dermatology outpatient setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Organisational skills and attention to detail
- A patient-focused approach with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities include supporting with:
- Preparing and supporting outpatient clinics
- Chaperoning patients during consultations and examinations
- Recording patient observations where required
- Assisting clinicians during patient consultations
- Supporting patient flow throughout the clinic
- Providing patients with information and guidance as directed by the clinical team
- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and records
- Ensuring clinics run safely, efficiently, and in line with local policies and procedures
- Maintaining high standards of patient care, dignity, and confidentiality
