Are you an experienced and compassionate nurse looking to develop your skills in a specialist setting? We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Nurse to join our dedicated Urology Outpatients Team, supporting patients undergoing Local Anaesthetic Transperineal (LATP) biopsies and flexible cystoscopy procedures.
About the Role:You’ll be part of a forward-thinking multidisciplinary team committed to delivering safe, effective, and person-centred care. This role involves clinical support and patient coordination for urology diagnostic and treatment clinics, particularly LATP and flexible cystoscopy services. You will play a key role in maintaining patient dignity and comfort while assisting with minor surgical procedures and consultations.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate individualised nursing care for patients attending urology outpatient procedures
- Prepare and manage clinical environments for LATP biopsies and flexible cystoscopies
- Assist urologists with procedures, including patient positioning, local anaesthetic administration, and equipment handling
- Deliver patient education and aftercare advice
- Ensure effective infection prevention and control measures
- Accurately document care delivered and contribute to quality improvement
2 years minimum experience within an Outpatient setting. Currently practicing or has practised within Urology outpatients as a HCA, for a minimum of 6 months, over the last 12-month period.
