We are seeking a dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our dynamic Urology Outpatients Department, supporting patients undergoing LATP (Local Anaesthetic Transperineal biopsy) and flexible cystoscopy procedures.
Main duties of the job
- As a key member of our specialist urology team, you'll assist with the delivery of safe and high-quality care in a busy outpatient setting.
- You'll work closely with nurses, consultants, and other professionals to support diagnostic and minor surgical procedures, ensuring patients are treated with dignity and compassion throughout their journey.
- Prepare and maintain clinical environments for LATP and flexible cystoscopy clinics.
- Chaperone and assist patients during procedures.
- Carry out clinical observations and document vital signs.
- Support infection prevention and control practices.
- Assist with stock control and clinic equipment preparation.
- Provide reassurance and clear information to patients before, during, and after procedures.

Experience
- 2 years minimum experience within an Outpatient setting.
- Currently practicing or has practised within Urology outpatients, for a minimum of 6 months, over the last 12-month period.
