Main duties of the job
- Deliver high standards of post‑operative care within the recovery area following urology procedures.
- Assess, monitor, and care for patients recovering from anaesthesia, ensuring patient safety and comfort at all times.
- Monitor and record patient observations, escalating any clinical concerns appropriately.
- Work collaboratively with theatre, anaesthetic, and ward teams to ensure safe patient handovers and continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and provide compassionate, patient‑centred care throughout the recovery process.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration.
- Current experience working within a surgical recovery setting for a minimum of 6 months within the last 12 months.
- Proven NHS experience.
- Experience working within surgical wards or urology environments is desirable.
- Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary ward team.

8:00-18:00 - Saturday's & Sunday’s
