We are currently seeking experienced Decontamination Technicians to join our team on an insourcing basis, supporting NHS Trusts. You will play a vital role in the safe and efficient reprocessing of surgical instruments, working with our partner hospitals to reduce waiting lists and support patient safety. This role is ideal for candidates who are flexible, reliable, and confident working in new environments and who have hands-on experience with Getinge washer disinfectors and drying cabinets.
Main duties of the job:
- Operate Getinge washer disinfectors and drying cabinets in line with Trust protocols and national decontamination standards
- Clean, inspect, and pack surgical instruments for sterilisation
- Ensure accurate use of tracking systems and documentation
- Adhere to infection prevention and control policies
- Work collaboratively with the wider clinical team in a fast-paced setting
Qualifications:
- Must be trained (with certificates) using a Getinge Washer
- Must be trained (with certificates) using a drying cabinet
Experience:
- Minimum 6 months experience in the last 12 months as a Decontamination Technician
