About the Role
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a hardworking and reliable Labourer to join a growing social housing maintenance team in Liverpool. This is a permanent opportunity working on void properties, helping to prepare homes for refurbishment and reoccupation.
The successful candidate will support trades teams and carry out strip-out and demolition works across a portfolio of social housing properties, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out strip-out works within void properties, including kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, and fixtures.
- Undertake light demolition works as required.
- Remove waste and debris from properties, ensuring sites are kept clean and safe.
- Assist skilled tradespeople with refurbishment and maintenance activities.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations.
- Report any property defects, hazards, or issues to supervisors.
- Travel between properties across Liverpool and surrounding areas.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Labourer, Demolition Operative, or General Operative within construction, maintenance, or social housing.
- Experience carrying out strip-out and demolition works.
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and reliable attendance record.
- Full UK Driving Licence with a clean driving record (essential).
- CSCS Card desirable but not essential.
