We are looking for an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager (M&E Compliance) to take responsibility for statutory compliance across electrical operations within a growing property maintenance and compliance environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong compliance professional with experience in social housing, property maintenance or the wider M&E sector.
You'll play a vital role in ensuring electrical compliance standards are maintained, company accreditations are upheld, and operational teams are supported with expert technical guidance.
Working closely with senior management, operational teams, clients and regulatory bodies, you will drive compliance excellence, promote a strong safety culture and use performance data to support continuous improvement across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and maintain statutory electrical compliance across the business, ensuring adherence to current legislation, regulatory requirements and industry best practice.
- Manage and maintain company accreditations, including NICEIC.
- Develop, review and implement compliance policies, procedures and technical standards.
- Conduct compliance audits, inspections and investigations, ensuring corrective actions are completed effectively.
- Provide technical advice and support to operational teams, managers and clients.
- Monitor engineer competency and ensure works are allocated to suitably qualified personnel.
- Produce compliance reports and analyse operational data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and deliver technical training sessions, toolbox talks and compliance communications.
- Build strong relationships with clients, regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders.
- Promote best practice, continuous improvement and a positive Health & Safety culture throughout the business.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Extensive knowledge of electrical compliance within social housing, property maintenance or M&E environments.
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation, regulatory requirements and accreditation bodies.
- Proven experience managing compliance audits, inspections and regulatory investigations.
- Sound knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, including CDM Regulations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret compliance and operational data.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience using digital compliance management systems.
- Experience producing reports and using data to support decision-making and performance improvements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Relevant technical qualifications and professional membership (minimum Eng Tech or equivalent).
- Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel as required.
Salary up to £56,000 depending on experience Car Allowance 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
