We are looking for an experienced Plumber / Multi-Trade Operative to join a busy repairs and maintenance team working across Barking and the surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled tradesperson who takes pride in delivering high-quality repairs and excellent customer service within occupied residential properties. You'll use your plumbing expertise while supporting a range of multi-trade maintenance tasks, helping to keep homes safe, comfortable and well maintained. Working with modern digital systems, you'll play a key role in delivering efficient, first-time-fix solutions for residents. Key Responsibilities * Carry out a wide range of plumbing repairs and installations, including: * Leak detection and repair * Hot and cold water systems * Immersion heaters and tanks * Bathroom and kitchen installations * Complete multi-trade works including: * Wall and floor tiling * 1st and 2nd fix carpentry * Patch plastering and making good * Painting and decorating * Accurately record job details and updates using mobile technology * Work closely with supervisors, planners and support teams to ensure smooth service delivery * Conduct risk assessments and follow health and safety procedures at all times * Deliver excellent customer service when working in occupied homes * Participate in out-of-hours and emergency call-out rota when required * Support apprentices and contribute to a positive team environment Essential Requirements * NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Plumbing qualification (or equivalent) * Valid Unvented Hot Water Systems Certificate * Experience across multiple trades, including tiling, carpentry, plastering and decorating * Ability to safely isolate and test electrical components * Full UK driving licence * Own well-maintained tool kit * Experience within social housing repairs and maintenance * Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations * Excellent attention to detail and customer-focused approach What's on Offer?
