Multi Trade Operative – Major Works & Voids Location: East London (Tower Hamlets, Canning Town, Newham & Hackney) Salary: £40,000 per annum About the Role Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Multi Trade Operative to join our growing Major Works and Voids team covering East London. Working across social housing properties, you will carry out high-quality repairs and refurbishment works to void properties and occupied homes as part of planned major works programmes. The role requires a professional, customer-focused individual who takes pride in delivering work to a high standard while maintaining excellent health and safety practices. Key Responsibilities * Carry out multi-trade repairs and refurbishment works within void and occupied properties. * Undertake general carpentry, plumbing, painting and decorating, plaster repairs, tiling and other maintenance tasks. * Complete property reinstatement works following refurbishment or repairs. * Ensure all work is completed to agreed quality standards and within target times. * Identify and report any additional repairs required. * Work safely in accordance with company policies and current health and safety legislation. * Maintain company vehicles, tools and equipment in good condition. * Provide excellent customer service when working in occupied homes. Essential Skills & Experience * Proven experience as a Multi Trade Operative within social housing, property maintenance or construction. * Competent in a range of trades, including carpentry, plumbing, painting and decorating, plaster repairs and general maintenance. * Experience working on void properties and major works programmes. * Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively. * Good communication and customer service skills. * Full UK driving licence.
